Hey, I’m Allie.

A collage-style digital profile featuring a woman with long dark hair smiling in front of a large decorated Christmas tree with red and gold ornaments, with two dogs on leashes in the snow; and a close-up portrait of the same woman with long brown hair, wearing a black outfit and earrings, against a plain background.

From crafting compelling narratives for my blog to researching every and anything under the moon communications related to engaging university communities, I have dedicated my career to bringing stories to life. Personal. Professional. Proactive. Writing is my niche. My journey in communications began with a love for words and evolved into a passion for impactful storytelling that resonates with diverse audiences. Whether through social media, content marketing, writing my book, crafting curriculums and materials for my students, or event promotion, my goal is always to connect, inspire, and drive action.

I remember the moment I became captivated by the field of Communication; it was during a lecture on Interpersonal Communication, and the professor said: "The most important thing in communication is hearing what isn't said." – Peter Drucker. That quote left me speechless at that moment (with no words, now that is a shocker), but when I came to realize what the actual craft of communication is, what we may know, however, don't take in. My first class in Interpersonal Communication changed my approach to the subject; it gave me insights I had never thought of before and gave me a passion and desire to want to know more. A few years and a Masters degree later, my goal is to educate, teach, create, design, market, demonstrate everything I know, and share my interests with others.

So, if you're like me many years ago, stumped at truly comprehending what Interpersonal communication is- let me share- to me, it means the art of connecting with others through active listening, empathy, and clear expression. It's more than just exchanging words—it's about understanding the feelings, perspectives, and intentions behind those words to build meaningful relationships.

Communication is more than we can put into words; it's the way our world works, it fosters trust, resolves conflicts, and encourages collaboration- eager to learn more- review my courses for insight, see my projects, or send me an email and I'll be happy to talk your ear off on all things communication.
