USFSM X Northwestern Mutual Partner on Leadership Series, Spring 2018
The University of South Florida-Sarasota Manatee Campus hosts Northwestern Mutual Partner on Leadership Series, Led by local executives of the wealth management company, the series is divided into four weekly workshops of two hours each and teaches time management, goal-setting and leadership skills on and off the job. Ten student finalists are participating in the program. Upon completion, they’ll receive leadership certificates and $250 each. Representatives from USFSM’s Careers Services Office and Northwestern Mutual pored over more than 30 resumes the past few weeks and conducted interviews to select students for the workshops, which are held on campus. While popular with finance and accounting majors, the program is open to students outside the College of Business as well. That’s by design, because the program’s overarching message can apply to a variety of leadership settings. The annual leadership series has a powerful way to affect change in the lives of students. Alexandra Werth assists in coordinating the workshop for the four nights, including ordering catering for guests, facilitating the event, set-up/tear-down, technology for guest speakers, digital media coordination, advertising for the NW Manual event on Handshake, Orgsync, USF Website, and meeting with students for prior interview, and any other duties needed.
